Keeping up with our former interns: Vanina Harel
After completing her internship in 2014 Vanina Harel started a Masters degree in film and electronic media at American University in Washington DC, specializing in wildlife and environmental documentary production.
She has so far produced several documentaries, including a short-film on sustainable farming in Virginia and a 30-minute documentary on the Chesapeake Bay for Maryland Public Television. She has also interned at the National Geographic Channel. Vanina is currently working on a 30-minute documentary on ocean conservation in Mauritius for which she was recently awarded the National Geographic Young Explorers grant.
