Clara Bowe is one of our 2014 interns and upon return to the US she started her Masters degree in Environmental Conservation at New York University. Besides her studies Clara has also been doing a host of other things while continuing to be a force for good. She has been taking classes in non profit management. She works as an Educational Coordinator for an urban farm project that focuses on food justice and sustainable communities in Newark, New Jersey.

She also has an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she does event planning, marketing, and publicity, and also works for the Department of Teaching and Learning, and Environmental Conservation Education as a program and network facilitator. The goal of the department is to promote sustainability and environmental consciousness through cross cultural exchange.

In April 2015 she started working on publicity for the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival (WCFF), founded by Chris Gervais who is also president and CEO of the festival. The festival aims to “inform, engage and inspire audiences on the need and importance for the protection of global biodiversity”. More information about the festival is available on their website: http://wcff.org/

Through Clara and other Y4AW interns our vision of creating lifelong conservation ambassadors and proponents for change is being realised. Watch this space for more updates on our former interns.
